Dear PTA Chair: Welcome to our team! My name is Myung! Joh, and I’m the Director of ReadingCare.com. 1. Who are we? First, let me give you a little background on us. ReadingCare was founded in 2003 by graduates of Harvard and Yale who sought to implement new online teaching capabilities to reach out to students, regardless of their geographic location. ReadingCare has been focusing on teaching non-fiction reading comprehension skills by using informational/explanatory texts, which has become more important than ever since the establishment of new Common Core Standards in 45 states across America. 2. How can your school’s PTA get funding through ReadingCare?
To be brief, we donate 20% of our net revenues to local PTAs (see details about the procedure at https://www.readingcare.com/PTA/Default.aspx). It will take you less than 10 minutes to register your school’s PTA account with ReadingCare.com.
